Wow! What a place. We just wanted to say thank you so very much for a wonderful vacation full of memories we’ll have forever. The “Bed & Breakfast” was the perfect spot to celebrate 12 years with the Walled Lake Western gang. We are truly looking forward to next year! Everything was awesome but we must say the “breakfast” every morning was wonderful! What a nice way to wake up on a relaxing vacation. Hope your wedding was fun! See you next July.

Dear Robin:

Thank you so much for your kindness and generous hospitality during our four night stay at the B & B Lodge. It’s not everyday that a proprietor will take new guests on a personal boat ride. It was extremely nice of you to reach out to us on that level.
Also, thank you for returning my ring. I don’t understand how it could simply appear under or on a throw rug. I picked up all rugs in every room and shook them out many tines. I also used a flash light and checked every corner. But, I am happy to have it back.
Once, again, thank you for everything. Have a great birthday. “Hello” to Dean-o for us. Thanks to Sharon for her effort in locating the ring too!

Dear Mr. Spencer,

I wanted to thank you again for the wonderful hospitality our family received at the Presque Isle Lodge back in early September. Ours was the Cliff Robert’s family reunion, for his 90th birthday celebration. Cliff is my grandfather, and I know he truly appreciated the event. My three children and I were among those who came from Ohio and stayed in the upstairs rooms. The breakfasts were fantastic, and the accommodations were gorgeous!
I meant to leave a copy of this CD with you before we left, but I forgot. So here it is now, as a Christmas gift! It is a collection of original songs which were mostly written by my husband, Chris. I hope you enjoy it, and I pray that the Lord will bless you & your family in the year to come.

Dear Robin,
This thank you is a bit overdue. I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed being at the Lodge this summer for our family reunion and parents' 50th Anniversary party. It was the perfect place, and I know everyone had a really great time. You and your staff were so hospitable and the breakfasts were delicious. I noticed how everyone managed to make it down to breakfasts on time every day – not something our family is noted for. My parents were very happy with the 50th party and having a chance to be with so many long-time friends. I’m sure we will be back again for another reunion in the next couple of years. I’ve enclosed a photo with my parents’ life size cutout. You mentioned you’d like a photo of that. Have a good offseason and perhaps we’ll be back for a few days next summer.

Hello. I just wanted to say thank you for renting the Lodge to me for my bridal shower this past Sunday. My shower turned out great and I enjoyed having it there. I had many comments on the Lodge and I think that my family/friends thought it was a great place--none of them had ever been there before. Our Basket Guild had a delightful stay at the Presque Isle Lodge. Thank you for making all the arrangements for us to have such a relaxing week-end. We enjoyed the quiet, the unique furniture, the porch, breakfast and the very comfortable beds. We hope to make it a yearly retreat.

Gary & Donna Rinkenberger - Donna is Don & Lois Dawson's Daughter - Wedding Couple were Aryn Rinkenberger & Tim

Wow- This is late I know ! Its hard to believe Aryn is now married and living in Everett, WA! After their honeymoon up in the U.P., they came to Lansing, packed the U-Haul & moved across the country. Last weekend they flew back to Lansing for the reception for family & friends here. It was a whirlwind trip. Tim’s mother put together a masterpiece video from start to finish that I would love to show you sometime! It highlights the lodge inside & out and is a wonderful reminder of the memorable celebration. This note is to thank you for your making all of it happen! My mother was a witness to all that unsurpassed past, present & future. Few weddings are so special! Gary was able to give a short history of Presque Isle & the lodge at the reception so others could sense our “awe”. I heard many compliments on the lodge – both my in-laws (Tim’s family) and Gary & I & friends were pleased with our rooms and the delicious breakfast provided. It was a perfect way to centralize everything for the 2 nights & 2 days up to and following the wedding. Also it was an ideal place for the reception! Your generosity was greatly appreciated!
